Taipei/Phantom of the Opera 2020/Peripheral merchandise sharing

Watching a musical for the first time in my life was dedicated to "Phantom of the Opera》. My music teachers would always talk about it when I was a student, but I didn’t have computers or mobile phones at that time, so I never looked into the story of this musical in depth. I only know that there is a person named "Phantom"The male protagonist wears a mask on his face. It wasn’t until I grew up that I was finally able to understand his story in depth. In fact, I will share it after I bought the novel of The Phantom of the Opera not long ago.

2020is a particularly meaningful year for me. It was the first time that my boyfriend and I visited Taipei together. It was also the first time in our lives that we watched a musical. That year we went to Taipei for the first time to perform together. There was a small quarrel before the trip, and every time we went to Taipei together, there would be a small quarrel.

I remember that I saw an advertisement on TV for The Phantom of the Opera to perform in Taiwan. I immediately searched for ticket purchasing information and asked my boyfriend if he was interested in watching it together. Later, when we went out for shopping and dinner, I asked my boyfriend if he wanted to go see The Phantom of the Opera together? Unexpectedly, my boyfriend was very interested! ! And I originally planned to ask me if I wanted to see it! After that, it’s time to start arranging vacations, buying tickets and looking forward to the trip to Taipei.

We came to Taipei in November. During the day, we first went to New Taipei Christmas City and then to the department store area in Taipei. Then walk into the legendary lady department store: Baoli Plaza. At the same time, I also made an agreement with my boyfriend here that next time I come to Baoli Plaza, I will spend money here! ! (There are many brands here that I have never heard of@@), but when I came to Taipei for the second time, I also fulfilled my promise and came to Baoli to dine. After that, I started wandering around because I had to catch up with the show and it was hard to go too far away for fear of not being able to come back in time to watch the show.

Watch The Phantom of the Opera at Taipei Arena

It gradually started to get dark, and it was time for the show to start. Although it was a weekday, there were a lot of people at the venue, and there were a lot of young people (probably college students) coming to watch the show. As soon as we lined up to enter and went up the stairs, we saw the introduction to The Phantom of the Opera, which introduced the actors in this performance. People and stories, this is also my first peripheral product. Before entering the theater, there is a place selling peripheral products. Everyone has a tacit understanding to buy the peripheral products first and then go in. I am afraid that I will not be able to buy the products I want. ! !

Since filming was not allowed for subsequent performances, there are no photos of this performance!

When the performance started, there was an auction scene, and the auctioneer was auctioning items one by one. It wasn't until the auction of a crystal chandelier that the legend about the crystal chandelier and the Opera House began to be narrated: The Phantom, and the scene slowly returned to the prosperous scene of the previous Opera House...

Our seats were on the second floor, so I watched the Chinese subtitles on the big screen and then quickly looked at the wonderful performances of the stage actors. The whole performance made me feel amazing! admire! Especially the singing part when singing the theme song "The Phantom Of The Opera". As soon as the prelude started playing, I immediately felt extremely moved. I could hear the live performance of this song with my own eyes and experience the charm of this classic musical live! The details of the entire performance, including the props on the stage, were all wonderfully done, especially the moment when the crystal chandelier fell from behind was extremely shocking! After the performance, it was a pity that we couldn't stay to watch the curtain call because we had to catch the high-speed train home. However, we have a lot of peripheral merchandise.

2020 Phantom of the Opera merchandise unboxing

1: Phantom Pin

This is a product that my boyfriend wants to buy, a Phantom mask-shaped pin. The mask can be said to be one of the most important props in the entire show. It is a small pin but has great collectible value. After all, it cannot be bought outside.

2:Phantom of the Opera introduction book

This is the first book you will see on sale when you go upstairs, and everyone will stop and buy one first. The cover is The Phantom's Mask and Rose. The content includes details such as the introduction of the actors and actresses of this performance.

3:Phantom of the Opera commemorative bracelet

Since I love jewelry, I will definitely buy this bracelet. According to the service staff, it can be buckled on any ring, so there is no need to worry about the size. For me, this bracelet must be a collection that I can’t bear to wear. The name of the Phantom of the Opera is in the middle of the accessory, and is decorated with masks, roses, musical notes, candlesticks, and small blue and white gemstones next to it. It completely matches the important elements of the entire drama. Such a beautiful bracelet is so worth owning! Now I occasionally open it to check the condition of the jewelry and recall that unforgettable day.

4:Phantom Teddy Bear

I almost missed it! ! At that time, I saw this little bear when I was choosing products, but the price was relatively high, so I started to hesitate. I originally wanted to forget it and not buy it! But after asking the service staff, my boyfriend learned that once these products are sold out, they will not be restocked! So my boyfriend saw how hesitant I was and decisively told the store clerk that he wanted a phantom bear! ! I happily held the bear and went to watch the show~

To be honest, the little bear wearing Phantom's clothes and mask is even cuter! Especially the mysterious feeling about half of the face covered by the mask. I really want to take off the mask and see how cute she looks.www. I also kept the little bear in the cabinet without even removing the outer packaging! I'm just worried that it would be troublesome if the bear or the mask got dirty!

As I write this article, I keep recalling the whole performance and singing scene. It is really a very beautiful memory. Later, due to the impact of the epidemic, I saw the news that The Phantom of the Opera announced the suspension of performances. I was quite shocked and reluctant. I originally wanted to see the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway again in the future. I didn't expect such news to come out. Although it’s sad, luckily I had the honor to see a performance in Taiwan, and I was able to buy some peripheral products to keep in my collection, and I didn’t miss out on the Phantom Bear!

I look forward to hearing the good news about The Phantom of the Opera reviving on Broadway in the future.
